AN IDYLLIC LOCATION.
Situated in Dorset, an area of outstanding natural beauty, the Jurassic Coast just a stone's throw away, you're in for an escape that fires up the senses. At just over two hours drive from London, the area is accessible yet remote enough for your Escape To Nature.
Actioned packed days lead into relaxed and peaceful nights around the campfire under the stars.
Our bespoke camping site provides not only the ideal learning environment but one that can also provide the perfect way to dip one's foot into nature in a safe and comfortable way.
A short drive from Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door, the area is of outstanding beauty with ample opportunity if you wish to extend your stay.
Arrive from midday to find a host of activities available to keep you occupied.
The main event begins at 1700hrs where you will learn to build your expedition tent and manage your campsite. We then use expedition cookers to cook dinner whilst learning the foundations of navigation alongside camp safety.
After dinner, take some time to relax around the campfire and learn how to cook traditional bannock bread and toast marshmallows. Games and entertainment will be readily available as well as the opportunity to ask your guides about their adventures and experiences.
Breakfast will be bought in by one of our local suppliers or you can cook on the expedition cookers.
This morning you will learn about the country code and hazards before planning your next 'mini-expedition'. Where to today? The woods? The coast? Perhaps both?
The weekend culminates at around 1500hrs where there will be time to ask questions and collate your new skills.
Breakfast will be cooked on a different type of expedition cooker and you will learn how to prepare equipment for an expedition alongside safety and emergency procedures.
We then head out onto the moorland to take our navigation skills to the next level. You will practice and perfect your skills, all with the support of our expert guides.
After lunch, you will prepare our 'mini-expedition' for the afternoon by building the route yourselves. We will head out for around four hours at a pace suitable for all where you will get to see the breathtaking Jurassic Coast. A short stop at one of the many idyllic country pubs will likely be on the cards.
Upon returning there is plenty of time to relax and enjoy the team building activities and games before we teach you basic survival skills and fire lighting methods. Dinner is cooked on the fire and bought in from our suppliers.
Kick back and relax around the fire under the stars while discussing the day's activities.

Will there be WIFI?
There will definitely be no WIFI. Although we encourage the use of phones as a safety device and to snap happy family memories we are trying to have a technological detox. This encourages socialising and helps leaves stresses behind. People are asked to take phone calls if they have to out of earshot of others and not to use phones in front of others
Can I smoke or vape?
To give the best nature experience possible, our policy to this is the same as phones. It should be done where it does not effect others. So away from communal areas and team events.
What about Covid-19?
1. If the government has the country on lockdown you will receive a full refund.
2. Tents will be distanced apart giving each family its own space so social spacing can be easily respected.
3. You can request your own guide (at an extra cost) if you wish to keep your family away from everyone.
4. Communal areas will be cleaned regularly but there is no need to use them apart from the toilets.
What age is this for?
This adventure is suitable for all ages. From young children to adults, you will learn new skills and enjoy the great outdoors. It's important to understand the likely outcomes for each age range though. We have a range of age-appropriate activities at all times that are optional for you and your family.

8-14 years: An in-depth experience that fosters education, adventure and fun. Expect them to come away with many new skills and the desire to learn more. From expedition skills to leadership concepts, there's so much to learn and fun to be had.
15+ years: Taking things to the next level, they ill have the opportunity to try their new skills independently. We have special tasks for these young budding minds to tackle to keep them engaged and challenged.
All activities will be available for all ages. Above is simply to give an idea of what we feel each age range can be expected to get from this adventure. It will be down to the individual and desires of you as a guardian.
What about my childs nighttime routine?
On Friday afternoon, you're welcome to arrive from 1200. The main activities will start around 5pm and they will be simple and short.
How do we get there?
The easiest way is to drive and it's around two hours from London. However, you can also get the train to Wareham taking around two hours fifteen minutes direct. It's then only a five minute drive to the campsite. You can either get a taxi or we may be able to pick you up.
What are the meals?
The meals are a mixture of expedition packet meals and locally sourced produce by our catering partners.
What are the tents and bedding?
As this adventure is designed to replicate wild expeditions, we have based it on two people per expedition tent (3 man). However, we have some options for upgrades to bigger family and stand up tents.
How do we cook food?
The only meals you need to think about cooking are the expedition meals on Friday night and Saturday morning. This is part of the tutorials of how to cook on expeditions. We provide expedition cookers for this. However, it's simply a case of boiling water and adding it to the expedition meal packets. You will get chance to use a variety of cooker types.
Can we bring our own comfort items?
Sure thing. You can bring pretty much whatever you need to keep you family comfortable and happy. This is designed to be an escape and ‘expedition experience’. However, comfort is important as that will impact your enjoyment.
