FREELANCE CONTRACTOR TERMS & CONDITIONS

Who this covers

These terms apply to all individuals engaged by Be Fearsome LTD as freelance subcontractors to deliver teambuilding, events, fitness, or coaching services on behalf of the Company. By confirming acceptance of a booking, you agree to these terms in full.

Your role

You are engaged as an independent contractor, not an employee. You are not entitled to holiday pay, sick pay, statutory maternity pay, or any other employee benefit. You remain free to offer your services to other organisations at any time.

You agree to facilitate sessions as briefed, maintain a professional appearance, follow Be Fearsome's method statements and risk assessments, and keep all client and Company information confidential — both during and after your engagement.

Qualifications and insurance

You must hold relevant qualifications and/or experience for the activity you are delivering, and provide copies upon request. You must hold a valid first aid certificate of 16 hours or more unless otherwise agreed in writing. If requested, you must present a clear DBS check.

Be Fearsome provides liability insurance unless otherwise stated. You are responsible for any personal insurance requirements.

Payment

Your day rate will be confirmed in your booking confirmation. Payment is made within 14 working days of receipt of a valid invoice, dated the last day of the month in which the event took place.

Invoices must be addressed to Be Fearsome LTD, 124 City Road, London EC1V 2NX, reference the event date, and be sent to contact@befearsome.com. Payment is made gross. You are responsible for reporting all income to HMRC via self-assessment or company tax returns.

Cancellation

If you are unable to attend, notify the Company at contact@befearsome.com no later than 48 hours before the event. You may suggest a replacement.

Client cancels within 48 hours — 100% of agreed rate 

Client cancels 2–7 days before — 75% of agreed rate 

Client cancels 8–14 days before — 50% of agreed rate 

Client cancels more than 14 days before — 0% of agreed rate 

Company cancels within 2 days — 100% of agreed rate 

Company cancels with 7+ days notice — non-refundable expenses only

Conduct

You represent the Be Fearsome brand directly with clients. You agree to arrive on time, follow the Operations Manager's lead at all times, keep phones away from clients unless operationally necessary, and direct any issues through the Operations Manager rather than directly to the client.

Restraint of trade

During your engagement and for six months following its end, you agree not to directly solicit or approach any client of the Company for independent work.

Intellectual property

Any content, materials, or designs created by you in the course of your work with Be Fearsome remain the property of Be Fearsome LTD.

Termination

Either party may end the working relationship with 14 days' written notice. Notice from you should be sent to contact@befearsome.com.

Acceptance

By replying to confirm a booking, you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms in full. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
