PERSONAL TRAINER, FITNESS INSTRUCTOR & ATHLETE

Sport has always been a big part Beccas life with Gymnastics being her passion from the age of 4. She went on to represent Great Britain in Gymnastics until an injury at university forced her to retire. At a young age, she also enjoyed horse riding, swimming, and ballet, as well as hockey, netball, and athletics. For leisure, she loves to ski.

Her love of sport took her to Cardiff University, where she gained a degree in Sports Science. Upon graduating, Becca moved into mobile personal training and relocated to London where she worked under Matt Roberts in Kensington. For her own fitness, Becca joined a military bootcamp where she was pushed in a competitive environment.

Early in 2017, Becca started to feel the need for another goal and challenge, so she decided to join a friend in triathlons. The training and discipline reminds her of the gymnastics training so it's very enjoyable. The hard work paid off and this year she represented GB in the World Age Group Triathlon Championships in Brisbane, where she ranked 5th in the world for her age group. Future goals now include representing GB in the Europeans and World Triathlon Championships in 2019.

WE ASKED BECCA A FEW QUESTIONS

1. What do you love most about being a trainer?

I really enjoy getting to know people and helping them to achieve their goals. Not all my clients enjoy sport and fitness, but by having a regular appointment with me, they have seen improvements in their health and lifestyle and this is very rewarding for both of us when this happens. The relationship I have built up with clients means I have seen clients at their best and worst!

2. How do you keep your clients motivated?

I keep my clients motivated by being encouraging and upbeat every time. I know what it's like to not feel like turning up or even to have a bad session, therefore I use my own personal experience to encourage them to keep going. I also use my experience to know when someone needs a bit of an extra push, or whether I need to adapt their session according to how they're feeling.

3. Why work with Be Fearsome?

I really like the ethos of the company and the mindset that we all share. Although we have varied backgrounds, we all want people to enjoy their workouts and to get the best out of them.
